SLIDESHOW: Framingham Bantams Win State Championship
The finals, held at Loring Arena, went into overtime on Sunday night, Feb. 28.
The Framingham Bantam A’s hockey team won the state’s hockey tournament at Loring Arena on Sunday night.
Framingham took a 1-0 lead after the first period, and was up 2-0 after the second period.
But by the end of the third period it was 2-2, and Framingham and Barnstable were headed to overtime.

Michael Tersoni scored the game winner in OT to give Framingham the state title, under head coach Joe MacInnis.
Besides Tersoni, other Framingham skaters on the championship team are PJ Conzo, Nathan James, Dom Schiappa, Jonny Nichols, Cole Taddeo, Nick Bechard, Robbie Lopez, Austin Villa, Mason Matzker, Filip Kierzenka, Joey Idelson, Jack Seta, Will Trischitta, and Sean MacInnis.

The Bantam A’s squad defeated Canton at noon on Sunday to get into the championship game.
Barnstable defeated Braintree in the other semifinal game.
During the tournament, hosted by Loring Arena, Framingham defeated Winchester 7-1 n Thursday night, Reading 6-0 on Saturday and lost to Barnstable 5-4 on Saturday night.
