SLIDESHOW: Rams Lose to Gordon College 1-0

Framingham State men's soccer team opens Conference play on Saturday, when they travel to Fitchburg State.

The Framingham State men’s soccer team fell 1-0 to Gordon College in non-conference action on Tuesday at Maple Street Field in Framingham.

With the victory the Gordon College improves to 3-2 while the Rams slip to 1-4.

The game’s lone tally came late in the first half when senior Evan Crocker won a 50/50 in his offensive zone which created a breakaway.

He beat Rams keeper, junior Josh Arno, a Natick High product, low to his left side.

The Rams had an opportunity to tie the contest in the last minute but shots by both junior Mitch Osgood and Arno were blocked.

Arno made five saves in net for the Rams while freshman Aaron Miller made six saves in net for the Scotts of Gordon College.

Gordon outshot the Rams 20 to 12 while taking 6 corner kicks to the Rams 2.

The Rams will open up Conference play on the same day when they travel to Fitchburg State on Saturday, Sept. 19
