SLIDESHOW: Undefeated McAuliffe Hoopsters Win First Playoff Game
The McAuliffe girls basketball team hosted and defeated Salem Academy Monday evening.
FRAMINGHAM, MA - The Christa McAuliffe Charter School’s girls basketball team went undefeated in the regular season, and Monday evening the team won its first playoff game.
The middle school team defeated Salem Academy 17-14, to go 10-0 overall thus far this season.
The next playoff game has yet to be announced.

The girls went 9-0 in the regular season, under head coach Brittney Amanti.
The strong defensive squad allowed an average of 6.7 points per game, said Amanti, who is in her third season coaching the team. Leading the defense is Becca Handleman, said Amanti.

McAuliffe Charter is in its third season in the Mass Charter School Basketball League.
The team’s leading scorer is Chloe Pearce, an eighth grader, from Framingham.
Other hoopsters on the undefeated team are: Sammie Bauer, Cece Hampton, Aline Martins, Iliana Munoz, Jill O’Neil, Sam Stewart, Abigail Burgess, Jadde Corona Sanchez, Gabriella Heureaux, Kiera Parker, Kiana Alford, Katrina Barnes, and Mialotta Schmidt.
McAuliffe Charter School is a public middle school for students in grades 6-7-8. Students are accepted via a lottery.
