Snow Expected Tonight; Only 1-2 Inches

Framingham and surrounding communities can expect another round of snow Thursday night, but residents should expect light accumulation.

According to the National Weather Service, snow showers are expected to start Thursday night. An inch or two of accumulation is forecast.

Because of the recent cold weather, the Service says residents should prepare for roads becoming slippery.

The region was blanketed with about 2 inches of snow on Monday, just the second snow event of the season.

There is a stronger chance of accumulating snow on Saturday.

According to the Weather Service, the exact track of Saturday's storm is uncertain. If enough warm air seeps in, a mix of rain and snow is also possible.

Icy conditions may also affect the area late Sunday into Sunday night as a warm front passes through New England. Temperatures are expected to remain below freezing at the surface.
