Sudbury VFW Post 8771 NEADS Assistance Dog Scooter Gets Evaluation

Scooter was named by the Noyes Elementary School children after the Noyes School Alumni Lt Scott "Scooter" Milley.

The Sudbury VFW Post 8771, NEADS assistance Dog, Scooter, is on the NEADS campus for an evaluation,according to Framingham Veterans Agent Peter Harvell.

Scooter was named by the Noyes Elementary School children after the Noyes School Alumni Lt Scott “Scooter” Milley.

During evaluation, Scooter’s trainer will look at his behavior around cats, other dogs, and other animals.

His trainer will check on obedience and socialization skills, mainly how Scooter reacts to loud noises, and novel objects.

The evaluation takes place on the NEADS campus as well as out in public.

In addition, Scooter will be evaluated on how he handles himself and completes Service Dog tasks, such as, turning lights on and off and retrieving an object, around distractions.
