NEWTON, MA - The Framingham High boys hockey team suffered ts first loss of the season Saturday night.
The Flyers lost to Newton North 3-0.

Newton North was backed by outstanding goaltending, denying numerous Flyer scoring opportunities.
Newton North took a 1-0 lead midway through the first period and carried it into the second period. Newton North staved off a 4-minute Flyer power play late in the first period that carried into the second period. The game remained 1-0 after 2 periods.

The Flyers had a number of scoring opportunities in the third period but Newton North took a 2-0 lead midway through the third period,and added an empty net goal with 18 seconds left as the Flyers pulled their goaltender for an extra skater.
Framingham will face Milton Wednesday night at the Ulin Rink in Milton.
