TRAFFIC ALERT: Construction In Framingham Coming Up
Lots of construction will cause lots of delays in the coming week.

FRAMINGHAM, MA—Construction on the roads and streets of Framingham continuing as the weather heats up.
Here's a report on the streets and roads that will have significant delays through June 2.
Annual Roads Program: Expect significant delays as crews perform casting adjustments to a number of roadways in the Lower Ridgefield Neighborhood. Roads included in this neighborhood include: Woodside Cottage Way, Gil Leonard Way, Wyndstone Way, Childs Circle, Michaud Drive, Highgate Road, Crestwood Drive, Burton Road, Sunset Drive, Dana Road, Ridgefield Drive, Leonard Road, Lohnes Road, Donna Road, Blackthorne Road, Bantry Road, Tara Road, Poskus Road, Rosslare Road, Pitt Road, Cavanaugh Road, Hasting Street, Magnolia Street, Murray Road, Highland Court, Fairbanks Road and Fairbanks Way.

Concord Street/A Street: Expect minor traffic delays as crews begin preparation work for the upcoming construction project in the area of Concord Street between Cherry Street and School Street. Work hours for this preparation work will be between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m.
Dennison Crossing: Expect minimal delays as crews work on the traffic signal and apply pavement markings. Work is anticipated to take place Tuesday, May 29 at 8 p.m. Affected roads included are Waverly St., Beaver St., Howard St., Blandin Ave. and Bishop Street.

Downtown Roadway Restoration: Expect significant delays, as well as parking restrictions, as crews mill pavement on William H. Welch Way, Sanger Street, Thompson Street, and Pearl Street. Please take notice of posted parking restrictions. Pedestrians are encouraged to use the sidewalk on Union Avenue to access the police department and city hall. View a map of the work zone here. Fenwick Street: Expect moderate traffic impacts as crews apply pavement markings on May 29.
Fountain Street/Dudley Road: One lane alternating traffic pattern will be in place Sunday through Thursday from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m. as crews make utility improvements.
Indian Head Heights: Expect minimal delays as crews continue to make utility improvements between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Police detail officers will be on site as needed.
Irving Street/Leland Street: Expect moderate delays as crews perform roadway improvements between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
Lockland Avenue: One lane alternating traffic plan will be in place as Eversource replaces gas main and services from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Little Farms Road: Expect minor delays as utility work is performed from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Normandy Road: Expect significant delays as crews make roadway improvements between 7:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. View a map of the work zone here.
Sturgis Road: Expect significant delays as crews continue making roadway improvements between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m.
Union Avenue: Northbound travel (heading toward Route 9) will be permitted between Melrose St. and Mt. Wayte Ave. Southbound traffic will be detoured down Franklin Street and onto Melrose Street to reconnect with Union Avenue. Over-sized vehicles approaching from Mt. Wayte will also be detoured down Franklin Street and onto Melrose Street to access Union Avenue. Two-way local traffic traveling between Main Street and Mt. Wayte Ave. will be maintained.
The City requests that motorists do not cut through residential side streets or parking lots to circumvent the detour; that type of activity can create traffic issues and unsafe situations for pedestrians.
