Originally posted at 12:33 p.m. Updated at 12:48 p.m. to report the closure of the Callahan Senior Center for the day.***Framingham Department of Public Works is fixing a water main break on Union Avenue between Maple Street and Mt. Wayte Avenue. The break happened during the noon hour on Sept. 22.Due to the water main break, the Town of Framingham is closing the Callahan Senior Center early. Motorists should avoid the area and seek alternate routes.Motorists travelling southbound will be detoured at Franklin Street.The repairs are not expected to be completed before 3 p.m, so families picking up students on Flagg Drive may wish to avoid Union Avenue. DPW says the repairs may not be fixed before the evening commute.
