There are three individuals running for two 3-year terms on the Framingham School Committee. The candidates are incumbent Beverly Hugo and challenger Jim Kelly and Scott Wadland.

Framingham Patch ran a Q&A with the 3 candidates in March. If you are still undecided, click here to read their answers.

Framingham voters will also be asked to decide between incumbent Selectman Jason Smith, seeking his fourth term on the 5-member Board and Town Meeting member Jim Pillsbury.

Framingham Patch ran a Q&A with the two candidates last week.

There is no race for Framingham Planning Board. Both incumbents Stephanie Mercandetti and Thomas Mahoney are running unopposed.

There are three seats up on the ballot for the Keefe Technical School Committee. However, only two incumbents are seeking re-election - James Cameau and John H Evans III. Nelson H. Goldin has decided not to run for re-election.

Two individuals informed the Framingham Town Clerk’s office they are running as write-in candidates. They are former member Thomas Leddy and Myra Bushell.

To win the seat, the write in candidates need to receive a minimum of 50 votes, said Framingham Town Clerk Valerie Mulvey.

If no one receives a minimum of 50 votes, then an individual would need to be appointed to the open Keefe Technical School Committee seat. The rest of the Framingham members of the Keefe Technical School Committee plus the Framingham Selectmen would make the appointment, until the next election.

Also on the ballot seeking re-election, and running unopposed, are:

  • Town Moderator Teri Banerjee
  • Library Trustees Maria Barry, Eric Doherty, Nancy Coville Wallace, and Jan Harrington
  • Edgell Grove Cemetery Trustees Kathleen Griffith and Peter Whiting

Voters will also elect Town Meeting members, today.

Framingham has 18 precincts. Each precinct will elect 4 Town Meeting members for full terms, some precincts also will elect Town Meeting members for partial terms.

Framingham resident Sharon Machlis did an analysis of Town Meeting seats and determined more than half of the Town Meeting seats have no candidates.

Town Meeting seats can be won via write-in campaigns today.
