What is Happening With the Former Han Dynasty Site?
The Framingham Planning Board unanimously approved a plan for the redevelopment of the site in October 2014.

Work began this week to transform the site of a former Chinese food restaurant into dental offices.
The Han Dynasty property at 517 Concord Street is being tuned into dental offices by Lacourt Holdings, LLC c/o Mouhab Z. Rizkallah, DDS.
A public hearing was held in October 2014 by the Framingham Planning Board on the project. A site plan review was triggered on the redevelopment of the site, as it is located within 200 feet of a residential district.

Rizkallah, a dentist, told the Board, in October, he would change the use of the building from a restaurant to a dental office. He told the Planning Board he would change the parking lot and update the landscaping design.
The Planning Board voted 5-0 to approve, with a couple of conditions including closing the most ”southerly curb cut” and a fence in the rear of the property.

In 2010, the Framingham Board of Health shut down the Han Dynasty restaurant.
In early 2012, the Framingham Board of Health unanimously voted to permanently close HoMei Seafood Restaurant, which opened under the same ownership as Han Dynasty.
Han Dynasty had opened in Framingham in 1990, and over the years was cited for numerous health code violations.
