What is Framingham Doing for the Marathon Victims?

Framingham has proven itself more than just a stop on the marathon route.

Since the Boston Marathon explosions, residents and community members have rallied together, helped and shown their support for the victims.

We've started compiling a list of ways Framingham community members have shown solidarity with their Boston counterparts, and supported the victims of the explosions. Please add to the comments other events or efforts of which you're aware.

Framingham State University Student Recognized for Heroism: Photos of FSU Senior Robert Wheeler, holding the leg of an injured runner, have gone viral. Wheeler ran to help after finishing the marathon himself.

'Beers for Boston' Raises Funds for Victims of Marathon Bombings: Local brewers donated beer to a fundraiser at The Tavern; the event raised nearly $9,000 for The One Fund.

Framingham Mourns Bombing Victims: Residents gathered Thursday night for a vigil outside the Memorial Building.

Framingham Hair-Cuttery Hosting Cut-a-Thon: Hair Cuttery at 50 Worcester Rd. will host a cut-a-thon from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, April 28. Haircuts will be $10 with 100 percent of the proceeds being donated to The One Fund Boston.
