Wilson Dedicates Outdoor Classroom to Late Bilingual Teacher
Former framingham elementary teacher Normanei Scott lost her battle with cancer in January 2015.
Wilson School, with the assistance of Framingham Assistant Superintendent of Schools Frank Tiano and Principal John Haidemenos, dedicated a newly-established outdoor classroom in memory of Normanei Scott.
Scott, was a bilingual teacher at Woodrow Wilson, who lost her battle with cancer in January. Born in Brazil, she taught for Framingham Public Schools for 17 years.
School staff were on hand to celebrate the dedication. Also in attendance at the Dec. 4 ceremony was Normanei’s husband Robert Scott, who established a scholarship in her name.

Wilson Assistant Principal Michelle da Costa read a fitting poem in both English and Portuguese.
Friday’s dedication ceremony was followed by a tea-themed breakfast.

Scott annually would hold a Christmas party at her home for staff, where she would display her extensive miniature village collection and serve “tea”.
