Write-Ins For Chris Walsh's Seat: Framingham Primary Results 2018
Here's how Framingham voted in the mid-term primary election of 2018. More than 20 percent turned out.
FRAMINGHAM, MA—Voters turned out for the Massachusetts state primary election on Tuesday, Sept. 4, electing state representatives, state senators, councillors and other state positions.
The polls were open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
There were 8,894 votes cast, representing 21.72 percent of the city's 40,944 registered voters.

In the Fifth District, which includes Framingham, John Hugo took on Louis Kuchnir for U.S. Representative on the Republican ballot. Democrat Chris Walsh was in his fourth term in the Massachusetts House for the 6th Middlesex District when he died in May of this year from cancer. The death left no one officially running for the state representative seat, which has since become a write-in contest. Mary Kate Feeney, Maria Robinson, Mark Tilden and Mike Gatlin are running as write-in candidates on the Democrat ballot. Tom Blandford's campaigning as a write-in for the Republican ballot for a chance to run for the seat.
