After 85 Years, Home Demolished in Minutes

Bulldozer takes down a house destroyed by August fire.

David Fadden watched sadly this afternoon as his home at 20 Millbury St. was demolished.

The home was destroyed Aug. 29 when a car crashed into the house, sparking a devastating fireball.

The house was in the family for 85 years, Fadden said. He had spent three years refurbishing the interior.

Now what was once a family home sits in pieces on the ground, items strewn randomly.

He is rebuilding a new house in the rear of the property.
