Blackstone Valley Student Found Dead On Pike In Grafton
A woman's body was reportedly found early Monday morning on the Mass. Pike in Grafton.

GRAFTON, MAβAn autopsy is expected and an investigation continues into the circumstances of the death of a woman whose body was found on the Mass. Pike Monday morning, according to the Worcester County District Attorney.
The Massachusetts State Police reported that a lane was closed on Monday morning for an "investigation."
The State Police Detectives assigned to the Worcester County District Attorneyβs Office are investigating the unattended death of a young woman whose body was discovered before 7 a.m. on Monday on the westbound side of the Pike in the area beneath the North Street overpass in Grafton.

The district attorney's office has not released further information, including the deceased name, but Blackstone Valley Regional Technical High School released the following statement, confirming to the Grafton News that the woman's body was that of a student at the school:
On March 19, 2018, Alexandra Valoras, an Engineering student in the class of 2019, lost her life. This loss is sure to raise many emotions, concerns, and questions for our entire school community, especially our students. BVT has a Crisis Intervention Team made up of professionals trained to help with the needs of students, parents, and staff at difficult times such as this. BVT has counselors available for any student who may need or want help or any type of assistance surrounding this loss.
