Alice Mask reveled in the joys of an empty nest and the freedom it gave her husband when ordered to take off his dirty clothes before they could mess up the house:

"Buck naked, he runs through the kitchen yelling "whoooohooooooooo"!

Laura Often praised her dad’s integrity as he served on his hometown’s school board and was faced with tough decisions:

"I watched him struggle with a decision that was going to affect so many children in the area. He talked it over with me – for one of the first time seeing me as an adult – and eventually he cast his vote in favor of building a new high school. I admired him for being able to make a difficult and potentially unpopular decision.''

"Jim and I were talking today and I feel like 2011 is a year of discovery for me. I feel like I'm learning to face the changes in our lives. Today is the first time I've cried since Jayme went back to school. And the tears weren't out of loneliness as in the past. The tears were more about frustration in what's next and when will I find it.''
