A sex offender who allegedly cut off his GPS bracelet and was on the run before being captured in Maine Wednesday was living in South Grafton as recently as December.

State Police say Addeo raped six victims during three separate incidents. While out on bail for these charges, he raped four young girls and a 19-year-old woman, State Police said.
After  being released from prison, he was  sentenced to lifetime community parole supervision by a Worcester Superior Court Judge in April of last year, said the release.Â
As a condition of that parole, he was ordered to wear a GPS monitoring  bracelet.
Police say that Addeo cut off his bracelet and threw it in the back of a pickup truck parked in a Home Depot parking lot in Tewksbury on March 11.Â
Addeo was added to the state's Most Wanted list and was the subject of a massive manhunt before being captured in Augusta, ME.Â
