Current, Past School Chief in Running for Interim Post

Joseph Connors and Kenneth Grew are finalists for the Berlin-Boylston school district.

Outgoing Joseph Connors and past Grafton Superintendent of Schools Kenneth Grew are among the finalists for the position of interim superintendent of schools for the Berlin-Boylston Regional School District.

The position is expected to last six months to a year and begins July 1. The committee decided to seek an interim superintendent to give them more time to choose a permanent candidate, according to the district Website.

Connors and Grew are scheduled to be interviewed Thursday at the Berlin-Boylston Regional School Committee meeting, according to committee chairman Larry Brenner.

No date has been set for a decision on the interim post, Brenner said.

Interviews by the Grafton School Committee are scheduled the first week of April for the three candidates to replace Connors.

will be invited to interview with the Berlin-Boylston Regional/Union #60 School Committees at our posted meeting on March 31st, 2011.  A second posted meeting has been scheduled for April 1st, 2011, since there are 5-6 candidates invited to interview with us, and we may not be able to complete all the interviews in one night (assuming all the invited candidates accept our invitation).  A copy of the meeting posting is attached for your information.

At this time, the Berlin-Boylston Regional/Union #60 School Committees have not established a date by which a final decision will be made.
