Grafton Cases Go Before the Judge

Stefanie Haigis, 21, of 158 Wheelock Ave., Millbury, was summonsed into court by Grafton Police Sept. 19 and charged with vandalizing property. Judge Vito Virzi continued the case to Oct. 28.

Travis H. Bennett, 21, of 40 Potter Hill Road, Grafton, was summonsed into court by Grafton Police Oct. 2 and charged with assault and battery. Judge Vito Virzi continued the case to Nov. 14.

James Fitton, 25, of 106 Worcester St., North Grafton, was arrested July 3 by Grafton police and charged with assault and battery, assault and battery on a police officer, disorderly conduct and assault and battery on ambulance personnel. Judge Steven Thomas found sufficient facts on the first charge, which was continued without a finding to April 6. Fitton was ordered to undergo substance abuse evaluation and follow-up and to write a letter of apology. The second and third charges were dismissed. On the final charge, Judge Thomas found sufficient facts, continued the case without a finding until April 6 and merged the remainder of the disposition with the first charge.
