Grafton Man Charged after Jewelry Theft

He and two other men face charges.

Westborough police charged a Grafton resident and two other men in connection with two town burglaries involving stolen meat and jewelry.

According to Westborough Police Chief Alan Gordon, the Westborough Police Department received a report on April 14 from the loss prevention department of on Lyman Street reporting that $448 worth of package meat had been stolen by two men.

Surveillance video of the suspects allowed detectives to identify them as Schuyler D. Gibson, 28 of 39 Vernon St., Worcester, and Brian E. Gernrich, 44, of 5 South Cambridge St. Worcester. Both men are former Westborough residents.

On April 22, Westborough police investigated a house break on Adams Street in which a large amount of jewelry was stolen.

The investigation by Westborough detectives led to a jewelry store in the Solomon Pond Mall in Marlborough. Jewelry taken in the Adams Street burglary was cashed in at that location, police said.

The two suspects who cashed in the jewelry were identified as Schuyler D. Gibson and Kevin T. Donnelly, 22, of 46 Londonderry Rd., Grafton.

Gibson was arrested on April 25 in Worcester by Worcester police and Westborough detectives. He was charged with larceny over $250 for the theft at Shop and Shop, larceny over $250 for the theft on Adams Street, and breaking and entering in the daytime.

Gernrich was later arrested by Worcester detectives. He was charged with larceny over $250 for the items from Stop and Shop.

Donnelly is being summoned to court on charges of receiving stolen property and being an accessory before and after the fact.
