Grafton Man Hurt in Crash

Shrewsbury Accident is Under Investigation.

A Grafton man was injured Sunday afternoon after being ejected from his vehicle following a two-car accident on Route 140 in Shrewsbury.

Gerald O'Malley, of 33 Brigham Hill Road, Grafton, was transported to UMass Medical Center after the accident, police said. His condition could not be determined today because hospitalΒ ο»Ώofficials said they had no patient by that name this afternoon.Β 

At 2:34 p.m., two cars were traveling northbound on Route 140, one behind the other.

Shrewsbury Police Sgt. Alfred Pratt said a red 1985 Camaro, driven by Samantha Sheehan, of 13 Ray St., North Grafton, slowed to make a right turn onto Clews Street when a 2007 Toyota Corolla driven by O'Malley attempted to pass the Camaro on the right.ο»Ώ

"The Corolla then hit the guard rail on Route 140 and O'Malley was ejected from the vehicle," Sgt. Pratt said.Β

Shrewsbury Police OfficerΒ Shawn Valliere and the state police's reconstruction crew are still investigating the accident.
