Grafton Community Day includes a community-led spring cleanup of the Grafton public areas, plantings around town, distribution of seedling trees to the residents of Grafton, and festivities on the Grafton Common to thank all the people who help clean up Grafton.
Grafton Community Day is inviting all other Grafton organizations to share in a family-friendly day of beautification and cleanup . The day should be fun, entertaining and educational, organizers said.

"Grafton Community Day has become a much-anticipated community event,'' said Grafton Community Day chairman Dawn Geoffrey in a prepared statement. "We are truly honored that every year more and more neighbors come outside to beautify our town. We all look forward to seeing community-minded residents and businesses this year as we celebrate the 6th consecutive year of Grafton beautification."Â
The Grafton Land Trust and the Grafton Garden Club are asking for your help. Â Here are two ways to get involved: Â Â
1. Form a Clean-Up Team
Family, friends, neighbors, co-workers, community groups, and many others can form a team. Each team sets out to clean up and improve a designated public or private area (get permission if it's not your own area).
This is a great way to support Grafton, give the town a facelift, and have some fun, organizers said. Everyone in Grafton, and those who travel through it, notice the effort.Â
If you are forming a team, contact Dawn Geoffrey at 508-887-8678 so there will be enough bags and gloves for everyone.
2. Nominate a Public Area for Cleanup
In your travels around town, if you notice a public area that is in need of a spring cleaning, please let Dawn Geoffrey know. There are always cleanup teams that are looking for places to beautify and cleanup.Â
If you have questions regarding Grafton Community Day, want to register your team or nominate a cleanup area, or if you belong to a Grafton non-profit organization that is interested in space on the Grafton Common on April 16, email geoffroy@charter.net, or call Dawn at 508-887-8678. Â
