Green Meadows Hosts Its Second Annual Veterans Day Weekend Celebration
The Patton family invites the community to honor local veterans at its three-day Veterans Day Weekend Celebration
Green Meadows, a cannabis company based in the heart of Southbridge, Mass., will honor Veterans Day Weekend starting Friday, November 11 through Sunday, November 13 with a three-day 21+ community celebration at its Southbridge dispensary at 64 Mill Street, Southbridge, Mass.
Friday will feature two cannabis vendor pop-ups with RevClinics and Northeast Alternatives. Saturday’s festivities will kick off with a veterans’ pancake breakfast at the Eagles Club where Alternative Wellness Centers will have their medical certification information table, followed by a military vehicles exhibit starting at 10:00 a.m., weather permitting. Saturday will also feature live music by Larry Lewis and food from Moon Magick Café and Johnny Hot Dogs, along with free PAX and dog tag engraving. Saturday’s pop-ups include Fernway, Coast, Pioneer Valley, and Nova Farms. Bob Patton, co-founder and chairman, will be signing copies of a book published by the Patton family, Portraits of Service. Green Meadows will also have an HR table where people can apply for positions for its second dispensary opening soon in Fitchburg. Sunday will conclude with pop-ups from Revolutionary Clinics and 1906.
“Veterans Day, which is Friday, November 11, also happens to be the birthday of my great grandfather General George S. Patton, the famed World War II general, so it truly feels like a full circle day to honor our family’s heritage and celebrate community veterans – a core value of our organization and family,” said Rob Patton, Chief Marketing Officer. “My great grandfather’s battlefield heroics in World War II and my grandfather’s – Major General George S. Patton IV – devotion to soldiers he commanded in Vietnam continue to inspire our work at Green Meadows, knowing that bold action and moral commitment can go hand-in-hand. We know that veterans have benefited from cannabis medication, and we know that regulated legal cannabis can mean revenue, employment, and business development for local communities.”

Green Meadows donated more than $30,000 to veterans causes in 2021, including $20,000 to the Southbridge Veterans Council. Additionally, currently 15% of its almost 80 employees are veterans – more than double its commitment to the city. Green Meadows also has the most competitive veteran discounts in Massachusetts for medical cannabis, where qualified veterans will now enjoy a 30% off discount every day and a 40% discount twice a month, every month on the 11th and 22nd. The 11th of each month is meant to align with Veterans Day in November and serves to celebrate Veterans Day every month, while the 22nd of each month relates to a widely circulated statistic from Veteran Administration that 22 veterans commit suicide each day.
Green Meadows also owns General’s Aide, which was created to provide consumers with quality cannabis products that are made responsibly and support the veteran community, with 2% of all purchases donated to veterans-focused charities, including such organizations as Operation Troop Support and Stop Soldier Suicide.
