High School Dismissed after Electrician Injured

Power was cut to the school after circuit panel injury.

Grafton High School was dismissed for the day at about 9 a.m. after an electrician was injured while working on a circuit panel, Fire Chief Michael Gauthier said.

This forced the school to shut off all electrical power until everything could be checked for safety, the chief said.

The electrician was shocked while working on a main circuit panel at the high school, Chief Gauthier said. He was conscious and alert in the ambulance, the chief said.

No further details are available on his condition.

No one else was injured, the chief said. Buses transported the students home at about 9 a.m.

The injury happened at about 8:15 a.m., the chief said.
