Information on Trash Changes to be Distributed
Containers and schedule to be altered.

With changes arriving in the town's trash schedule, a flier will be mailed to all residents the week of April 25 to provide more information on the new recycling container and detail the schedule changes.
The Town of Grafton will be changing to automated recycling pickup in June. The Board of Selectman voted at their March 16 meeting for the change.
All residents will receive a 96-gallon wheeled-toter between May 31 and June 3. The toters will be used immediately as the town’s recycling contractor E.L. Harvey will transition to automated collections starting the week of June 13.

In addition, approximately 20% of residents will have their scheduled trash and recycling pickup day changed. The schedule change will improve the efficiency of collections for E.L. Harvey reducing the amount of time they are within the town.
Town officials say the change in recycling container will make it easier for residents to get their recyclables to the curb and encourage them to recycle more. The toters will replace the recycling bins currently being used.

Residents will have the option of bringing the old containers to a designated location and they will be used to collect recyclables in the classrooms of the new high school.
