Investigation Continues on Town Fires

The state fire marshal continues to investigate the

No determination has been made but the investigation is continuing, said Jennifer Meith, spokesman for the state fire marshal’s office, in a conversation this week.

Fires struck homes on 6 Airport Road and 1 Hingham Road three days apart in January. The homes are within sight of each other.

Some neighbors had expressed concern that, while charges were filed regarding the 23 Countryside Road fire the same day of the blaze, the cause of these fires remains undetermined.

Mieth said that each fire is looked at individually, and that the causes of some blazes are more straightforward to determine than others.
