One Forum Left on Grafton Town House Restoration
A forum was held Sunday, Oct. 6; a second one will be held before Town Meeting takes place later this month.

A funding request to help restore the Grafton Town House is among the items on the Oct. 21 Town Meeting warrant, and supporters are providing one more opportunity to learn more about the project.
Voters will be asked to vote forΒ a $1 million bond to restore the Townhouse; the bond is contingent onΒ $4.3 million in private money beingΒ raised.
A forum was held Sunday, Oct. 6, at One Grafton Common in the Great Hall; another will be held 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 18 in the same location. Attendees may view the schematics of the master plan for the Grafton Town House and listen to a short presentation. A question and answer session will follow. Tours of the building will alsoΒ be available.
The Community Preservation Committee has submitted the warrant article that asks residents to vote on approving $1 millionΒ in future funding to help pay for the final phase of renovation. The Grafton Town House Oversight Committee, in conjunction with Apple Tree Arts, applied to CPC for the funding request.
Apple Tree Arts, a nonprofit community music and theatre arts school, working with the Grafton Town House Oversight Committee must raise $4.357 million before CPC will provide the funding. $662,738 from previously secured funding will be applied towards the project. The total cost of the final phase will be $5.3 million.
