Plastic Bag Reduction Bylaw Takes Effect In Grafton This Summer
You voted for it. The plastic bag law will be in effect for certain establishments come July.

GRAFTON, MAβGrafton voters passed the plastic bag reduction bylaw in May of 2017. In July of this year, that bylaw will be the law.
This bylaw is intended to reduce the amount of plastic waste generated by the town, according to the announcement. This bylaw only pertains to establishments or businesses selling goods, articles, or personal services to the public including restaurants with a gross interior space of 3,000 square feet or larger; or businesses having at least two locations under the same ownership brand name within the town.
All qualifying establishments are required to discontinue single-use plastic bags and find a compliant bag that meets the new criteria.
