Worcester County Sheriff Lewis G. Evangelidis attended the second annual Community Reading Day Oct. 11 at .

Evangelidis spent the morning with Catherine Perch’s second grade class discussing his role in the community as Worcester County Sheriff and reading the story “Diamond Jim Dandy and the Sheriff.

The Community Reading Day is an annual tradition at North Grafton Elementary School that celebrates the value of reading with a special guest reader.

“It’s always wonderful to see such a great emphasis put on reading with our youth. Community Reading Day at North Grafton Elementary School is a fantastic program coordinated by dedicated parent volunteers. I enjoyed being able to participate today and spend a fun morning reading to the second graders.” said Evangelidis in a prepared statement.
