6 Things You Missed at Selectmen's Meeting

Town is honored, resignations are accepted and town meeting is set.

Six things you might have missed from the March 15 selectmen's meeting:

 

1. The Town Recycling Committee was honored by Metech Recycling for a successful electronic waste recycling event Feb. 12. The event collected 9,457 pounds of electronic waste.

2. Special town meeting was set for 7 p.m. May 9, followed by town meeting at 7:30 p.m. at Grafton High School auditorium.

3.  A one-day beer and wine license was issued to the Grafton Cultural Council for the March 25 reception from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Grafton Municipal Center. This reception is part of the three-day festival March 25, 26 and 27. The fee was waived.

4. Justin Cain was appointed as a full member of the Sign Bylaw Committee.

5. Mark Carlson resigned from the Grafton Historic District Commission and Mark Pilotte resigned from the Sign Bylaw Committee.

6. The snow and ice budget deficit was $179,115.
