Super Park Sites Narrowed Down

Worcester Street land is a top contender.

These locations were chosen for their central location and space considerations. The park would require at least 2.5 acres, committee chairman Michael Scully said.

Selectman David Ross raised concerns about the limited size of the Worcester Street property, which includes about 2.5 acres.

He said the Perrault property had the space for not only a playground but also for potential expansion. He said he would like to see walking trails and exercise stations.

Selectmen John Dowling said he would like more information on the options.

Selectmen approved a gift fund account, which would allow the committee to begin official fund-raising efforts, although several hundred dollars has already been donated.

Scully said the committee may have a booth or otherwise make its presence known at the summer concert series to raise money and awareness of the Super Park.
