Town Gets Extra $95,622

Grafton receives additional local aid.

Grafton will receive an additional $95,622 in one-time funding to help maintain vital services and recover from the recent fiscal crisis.

Representative George N. Peterson, Jr. (R-Grafton) has announced that the passage of the Fiscal Year 2011 (FY 11) Final Deficiency Supplemental Budget will allow for the certification of $65 million in reversion money to be used as a one-time payment to cities and towns.

“I am pleased to announce that these funds are coming to our community,” Peterson said in a prepared statement. “It is always a priority of mine to increase local aid to our cities and towns, and this funding will now bring our community back to where we were in the previous fiscal year.”
