DOG LICENSING REMINDER

The licensing period in Grafton is April 1 - March 31 of each year per Town By-Laws Article 16 and Mass General Law Chapter 140, Section 138.
A current rabies vaccination certificate showing the date of expiration of the vaccination is required along with a spay/neuter certificate if the dog is altered and certificate is not already on file (please contact office to confirm).

We provide several options to register your dog:
- Online through Unipay at https://unipaygold.unibank.com/customerinfo.aspx or by visiting the Town Clerk department page, clicking on the green online payment center tab and following the prompts (First time registrations must provide proof or rabies and spay/neuter in advance)
- Mailing in your request with a check made payable to the Town of Grafton
- Dropping off your request in our Red Drop Box located out front of Town Hall
- Appear in person at the Town Clerk’s office during regular business hours
The cost to register a spay/neutered dog is $10.00 and an unaltered dog is $15.00. If you are 70 or older, and the dog is vaccinated under your name, the license is free. Service dogs are also free with proper documentation. On or after June 1st, an additional $10.00 late per dog is added.
Any dogs not registered after June 1st will be referred to the Animal Control Officer and could result in further fees and/or court action.
Deceased or Relocated Dogs
To avoid continued notification, please notify the Town Clerk's office so that he/she can be removed from our database
