They make quilts, pillowcases and table runners.
They also make each other laugh.

The group meets periodically to learn to create various crafts and to work on their quilts.
“We get together and just play,’’ said group member Janice King.

The quilters meet about four times a year with teacher Paula (Desmarais) Moore, a Grafton native who now lives in Charlton.
And each of these meetings, the quilters work on projects, both new and outstanding.

About 20 women sat at tables in the church basement, finishing blankets, quilts, and other projects.
Each class costs $10, to cover the cost of the instructor and the space.
And the quilters hope others will consider joining the group.
After all, the more people who participate, the more advice _ and laughs _ can be shared.
