• Health needs report identifies homeless population as priority (recorder.com) — Greenfield residents are being urged to pay attention as Baystate Franklin Medical Center’s new Community Health Needs Assessment names people experiencing homelessness as a top priority, with specific plans to add detox beds in Greenfield and expand addiction services. The report details a countywide shortage of affordable and supported housing, rising homelessness counts, and calls for more mobile outreach, trauma‑informed care, and involvement of people with lived experience.
   

• Franklin County Career & Technical Institute celebrates 37 adult grads (recorder.com) — Greenfield residents are among 37 adults who just completed intensive trades training at Franklin County Career & Technical Institute, including programs in building maintenance, electrical, automotive technology and welding. Graduates from Greenfield and nearby towns juggled jobs and families to attend four evenings a week for 12 weeks, with several earning special awards for perseverance, craftsmanship and community spirit.
