• After closing of medical center, Nashoba Valley towns get $5M from state (telegram.com) — Groton will receive new state EMS funding and is slated to host a UMass Memorial satellite emergency facility at 490 Main Street, expected to open in January 2027. The $5 million package supports 13 Nashoba Valley communities, including Groton Fire, to offset the strain caused by Nashoba Valley Medical Center’s 2024 closure and rising ambulance demands.
