Grateful Daughter is Back, Thankful for Couple Who Found Her: Albers Family Statement
The Albers family of Hamilton has issued a statement in the wake of their daughter's alleged kidnapping and return.

The Albers family on Friday suffered a real-life nightmare, the kind of thing parents dread but never expect to actually happen.
Their 2-year-old daughter, Lyndon Albers, was allegedly taken from their Hamilton home in the middle of the night by a woman they had formerly trusted with their daughter’s care. Hours later, after a frantic search, an Ispwich couple spotted the toddler, naked, bruised and with a shaved head, sitting in a pile of leaves about eight miles from her home, according to WHDH.
A former babysitter, 21-year-old Abigail Hanna, was arrested Saturday morning in connection with the ordeal.

The family’s full statement is as follows:
We have suffered a horrific ordeal. We are grateful to have our daughter back. We are extremely thankful for the incredible efforts to rescue our daughter by the Police and all emergency responders. We are extremely grateful to the kind couple who found our daughter. We are extremely thankful for having the best family, friends and community supporting us through this difficult time.
We are asking for privacy out of respect for the young ages of our children, and out of an understanding that as parents we need to be able to restore a sense of calm, comfort, and normalcy for the well being of our children.”
Topsfield resident Abigail Hanna, 21, has charged with kidnapping, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, assault and battery of a child, and breaking and entering in the nighttime. She will be arraigned Monday at Newburyport District Court. She is being held without bail.
