“We LeeVees wait all year to get together and play a few special shows,” said Schneider. “The band seriously can’t wait to rock out, spread joy, and share our music. The love Boston has shown for Guster and The LeeVees has always been special—and all I can say is, look out Ipswich!”
What to Expect
You'll hear all your favorites from Hanukkah Rocks, and yes, there will be a few surprise Guster covers thrown into the mix! This all-ages event is the perfect, fun, community-focused way to kick off your Festival of Lights. Bring your friends, your family, and your biggest holiday spirit for a truly one-of-a-kind Hanukkah celebration.
Two Decades of Holiday Awesomeness
The band was first formed back in 2005 by Adam Gardner (Guster) and Dave Schneider (The Zambonis) with a mission to fill a serious void in the music world: catchy, clever, and joyful Hanukkah songs. Their debut, Hanukkah Rocks, was instantly beloved, with NPR’s Bob Boilen calling it “the best holiday record of the decade without question.”
Their popularity just keeps growing. In 2023, they performed a much-lauded Tiny Desk Concert for NPR, and in 2024, they were featured in the nationwide PBS special, A Celebration of Hanukkah. They've also toured with huge names like Barenaked Ladies and Matisyahu and played with the Boston Pops and at The Kennedy Center.
To honor their two-decade milestone, The LeeVees will be releasing a special vinyl edition of Hanukkah Rocks in 2025, which will include a brand-new track called “The Penny.”
