UPDATE: Second Halloween Crash Leaves More Residents Without Power
A motor vehicle crash Saturday evening closed down Upper Asbury Street, and a second crash later left about 250 without power.

More than 250 customers in Hamilton are in the dark Saturday night after two separate crashes into utility poles in town.
According to reports, a second crash on Sagamore Street at about 10 p.m. took out a utility pole; this crash came about five hours after an earlier crash on Upper Asbury Street that also snapped a utility pole.

As of 10 p.m., National Grid was estimating full restoration by 11:15 p.m. for the 266 customers in the dark.

A motor vehicle crash brought down a pole on Upper Asbury Street in Hamilton Saturday evening, shutting down the roadway for several hours.
According to the Town of Hamilton blog, the driver involved in the crash said he fell asleep and police do not suspect intoxication. The driver was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
