Hamilton-Wenham Volleyball Drops First Match of the Season

The Generals took on Bishop-Fenwick at home on Monday.

The Hamilton-Wenham Generals volleyball team got off to a one-set lead, but eventually fell to Bishop-Fenwick in the volleyball season opener on Sept. 7.

The Generals finished the match 1-3 with game scores of 25-22; 21-25; 10-25; and 13-25.

According to report from coach Jennifer Flynn, sophomore Ali Kimball, an outside hitter, played well with a block, nine kills and 2.26 serve/receiving average. Additionally, Cecily Szady, a sophomore middle hitter served three aces.

Lauren Flynn registered eight kills for Hamilton-Wenham.

The Generals are next in action Wednesday at Triton. The junior varsity squad plays at 4 p.m. and the varsity squad hits the court at 5:30 p.m.
