Hamilton-Wenham Volleyball and Field Hockey Updates

The volleyball team hit the court Thursday and the field hockey team was in action Friday.

The Hamilton-Wenham girls field hockey and volleyball teams were in action late in the week.

On Thursday, the volleyball team notched another win with a 3-0 (25-7, 25-10, 25-7) match with Georgetown, according to Coach Jennifer Flynn.

Litah Brown, a senior outside hitter, served a .462 percent with 13 serves and six aces. Sophomore outside hitter Katie Hankin had two kills, and sophomore middle hitter Cecily Szady earned eight aces on 20 serves.

The Generals are now 2-1 on the season and will next be in action at Saugus on Monday, Sept. 14.

Then, on Friday, the girls’ field hockey team dropped its match to Amesbury, 2-1. The team’s goal was scored by sophomore Charlotte Rubel with an assist by junior captain Mckenzie Plante.

The team’s record stands at 0-2 on the season. The team will next be in action on Tuesday versus Rockport.
