ICYMI: The Deadline is Wednesday to Volunteer for the Vacant School Committee Spot

A Wenham resident is need to step into fill the vacated spot until the next town election.

The Hamilton-Wenham Regional School Committee is still looking for a Wenham resident to come forward and fill a recently vacated spot on the commitee.

Committee member Roger Kuebel resigned at the June 3 committee meeting, according to Chairman Larry Schwartz. The resignation was expected, Schwartz added, but it did create an open position on the seven-member board that must be filled until the next school committee election, which will be held in early April 2016.

A call for letters of interest to be submitted by July 22 generated no responses, according to Superintendent Michael Harvey, so the deadline has now been extended to Sept. 23.
