Motorcycle Run Fundraiser Coming to Hamilton in May

American Legion Post 194 is asking motorcycle riders to save the date for the first “The Battle Starts at Home” motorcycle run on May 22, 2016.

The event is a fundraiser for the nonprofit, “The Battle Starts at Home,” which, according to its Facebook page, is an organization dedicated to promoting suicide and mental illness awareness among veterans. The organization is based in Danvers.

The day’s events will include the motorcycle ride as well as a barbecue and pig roast. It’s $20 per rider and $10 per passenger to participate.

Registration begins at 9:45 a.m. on May 22 and the ride kicks off at 11 a.m.

The event is rain or shine.
