Pleasant Pond Beach Closed Because of Poor Water Quality

Pleasant Pond Beach was closed on Thursday, Aug. 7.

The beach at Pleasant Pond in Wenham was closed on Thursday, Aug. 7 because of poor water quality.

The Wenham Board of Health closed the beach “due to poor water quality,” according to an announcement posted on the town of Wenham website. The announcement did not provide any more specifics on the cause of the poor water quality.

[The Wenham Board of Health] will be re-testing the water (on Thursday) and we will keep the public informed of any changes,” the town government said in its announcement.

The beach, at the end of Pleasant Street in Wenham, is open to Hamilton and Wenham residents.
