Public Hearing on Lakeview Property Scheduled

Wenham selectmen are soliciting feedback from residents related to the town's option to purchase the property.

The Wenham Board of Selectmen are holding a public hearing to solicit feedback from residents related to the town’s option to purchase the Lakeview Golf Course Property at 56-60 Main St.

The hearing will take place Tuesday, Jan. 19 at 7 p.m. a Buker Elementary School.

Residents should have received a mailing related to the hearing, but that information is also available here.

The Flynn family, which currently owns the property, intends to convert the 30 acre proprty, but the town has the option of purchasing, as per state law.

Residents who are unable to attend the hearing are invited to submit comments to lakeviewfeedback@wenhammagov.

The Selectmen have also negotiated a Host Community Agreeement with the Flynn family and a potential developer, Atlantic Tambone. This agreement is one option available to the Town. The entire document can be found here.
