'Ted 2' Filming Shifts to Danvers

Residents in the Dayton-Hathorne-Maple streets area of Danvers were notified by film production company.

The crew filming for “Ted 2,” directed by Seth MacFarlane, has shifted its focus from Hamilton to Danvers this week.

The production company, Raging Bear LLC, recently notified residents in the Dayton and Maple streets area of Danvers in a section of town known as Hathorne, that some road closures were planned for Tuesday and Wednesday.

“Raging Bear LLC is in the preliminary stages of the movie ‘Ted 2,’” the notice said. “The sequel to the comedy hit ‘Ted,’ ‘Ted 2’ will star Mark Wahlberg and is directed by Seth (MacFarlane). We are filming in Boston and surrounding communities this summer.”

Filming is scheduled to take place from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. both days.

Last month, crews were at Appleton Farms in Hamilton filming some scenes for the movie, which is scheduled for release next year.
