Veterans Day Ceremonies Scheduled in Hamilton, Wenham
Veterans Day is Wednesday, Nov. 11.

Towns throughout Massachusetts will pause on Wednesday, Nov. 11 to recognize veterans and commemorate their service.
In Wenham, the Veterans Day ceremonies begin at 10:30 a.m. with a wreath-laying and short ceremony at Cheeseman Field (Pingree Park). Then, at 11 a.m., there will be another wreath-laying and ceremony at the Veteran’s War Memorial (Downtown). This year’s guest speaker is U.S. Army Master Sgt. Retired Christine Tron.
There will not be an official ceremony at the Route 128 bridge.

In Hamilton, the annual Veterans Day Recognition Breakfast at American Legion Post 194 in Hamilton begins at 8 a.m. The guest speaker will be U.S. Navy Medical Corps Commander Douglas E. Peterson D.O., an orthopedic surgeon who served in Operation Enduring Freedom in 2009 and 2013.
Following breakfast, there will be a march from Hamilton Town Hall to the cemetery for a service before marching back to town hall.
