Wenham Museum to Take Part in Free Fun Fridays

Free Fun Fridays sponsored by Highland Street Foundation happens every Friday in the summer and this week comes to Wenham.

Wenham Museum will be part of Free Fun Fridays on Friday, Aug. 8. The day of free admission to anyone will feature the museum’s summer exhibits including Art of the Artifact, Those Lazy, Hazy, Crazy Days: Summer Fashions and Our Amazing Brains.

Visitors can also explore the museum’s finger-print-friendly galleries featuring antique toys, dolls, dollhouses, 10 operating model train layouts, vintage costumes and textiles and historic photographs. Special guided tours of the museum’s 17th-century Claflin-Gerrish-Richards House will also be available at designated times. Each tour will be limited to 15 people.

Free Fun Fridays is run by the Highland Street Foundation to further the goal of increasing access to culture, the arts, and education for people of all ages. This week, in addition to Wenham Museum, free admission is offered at Boston Harbor Island’s National Park, U.S.S. Constitution Museum and Greenway Carousel in Boston, Clark Art Institute in Williamstown, Children’s Museum at Holyoke, Volleyball Hall of Fame in Holyoke and Fuller Craft Museum in Brockton.

Wenham Museum hours are 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
