Aquarion Director Named Massachusetts Water Works Association President

The Aquarion Water Company of Massachusetts is the public water supply company for more than 50,000 people in the towns of Hingham, Hull, Millbury, and Oxford.

Blake Lukis, director of operations at Aquarion Water Company’s Massachusetts systems, has been named president of the Massachusetts Water Works Association (MWWA).

MWWA is dedicated to the advancement of the drinking water profession. Through education and advocacy, MWWA is committed to public health by promoting a safe and reliable supply of drinking water to Massachusetts consumers.

The MWWA also presented Lukis with the Executive Director Award. This award 
was presented in honor of his commitment to the Massachusetts Water Works 
Association and his tireless advocacy on behalf of the water supply profession.

At Aquarion, Lukis oversees the operation, maintenance, and engineering for the 
water systems serving Hingham, Hull, North Cohasset, Millbury and Oxford.

Prior to joining Aquarion in March 2013, Lukis served as assistant superintendent of water and sewer and as a water and sewer engineer in the Town of Wellesley. In both roles, Lukis managed capital projects and directed the town’s water treatment facilities and distribution system.
