Hingham:
Whether you’re in the mood for Thai or just something a bit more creative, Muang Thai is about as exotic as you can get without leaving Hingham. You’ve probably gone right past this palace of goodness more than a few times, a rookie mistake, because this place should definitely be on your radar.
Muang Thai has an extensive menu, but not an expensive one. Whether you’re looking for something exotic, specifically duck, cuisine with an Asian flare, or maybe vegetarian options, Muang has it all. Not to mention, even the pickiest of eaters here can find a simple rice or chicken dish. Plus, there are icons on the menu to notify you if a dish is spicy. It’s almost impossible to go wrong, even if you are new to Thai food.
Milton:
88 Wharf is a big room with a big view, located on the Neponset River near Milton Landing, Riverwalk and Milton Yacht Club. Open every evening, the restaurant boasts an elegant yet eclectic menu of savory entrees and a selection of bar food, which 88 Wharf terms its "Social Menu." With everything from personal gourmet pizzas and dumplings to a raw bar and prepared seafood appetizers, the menu should satisfy palates from the simplest to the most complex. Check 88's Web site for upcoming events and specials. Then stop by to catch dinner and the fabulous waterfront breezes. 88 Wharf is also open for Sunday brunch.
Weymouth:
Owned by the same people who run the Union Street Chowder house, Martini's features no-frills Italian/Amercian dining at affordable prices and is known for its unusually large drinks. Stop by for a cocktail after work and try the seafood casserole or pop in to watch the game on a large flat screen. There are also nightly events: trivia nights, DJs, lobster specials and more. Delivery is available after 5 p.m. most evenings.
